Question
I brought an apartment the beginning of the year, with a Chazaka on a yard. I want to put tiles on the yard floor. Their is a bush and plants in pots in the yard. My question is am I allowed to throw away the plants in potts or give them away during Shmita? And about the bush can I remove it from the ground so that I could put tiles on the whole yard during Shmita?
Answer
This is all permitted as long as there is no fruit, and it is clear that you are remodeling or creating a tiled floor.
