Question
Is it acceptable for me to make my own string of prayer beads, similar to Bhuddist mala beads, for Jewish prayer? I'm thinking of a string containing 3 sections: 1 containing 6 beads, then a separator (perhaps a magan David), then a section of 13 . So, 613.
Answer
Yes, and it's no problem.
