Question
I was told recently by a Mashgiach that his yeshiva is “not a public” place and that I would need permission from the Rosh Yeshiva to use the yeshiva׳s Beit Midrash whether to learn or to Daven. Is this crazy? Is this Mashgiach correct? Please inform me. Thank you.
Answer
Shalom,
Thank you for your question. It sounds as if there is a real question of disagreement between yourself and the Yeshiva. In such cases our policy is to not get involved in such disagreements – and certainly when only hearing one side.
In any event, let us send you blessings for a peaceful resolution to any arguments, and may you merit to both learn and pray in a Houses of Hashem in good health.
Blessings.
