Question
Dear Rabbi,
In a case where 10 people have eaten together, but not all of them have eaten bread (for example, 5 have eaten bread and 5 have eaten mezenot) can they join together to say hashem’s name?
Answer
ב"ה
Shalom
The Shulchan Aruch speaks about such a case and stipulates that there must be at least 7 people who had bread in order for others to join and say Hashem's name. The other three may join even if they had only a vegetable or a drink other than water.(שולחן ערוך קצז:ב )
All the best
