Question
We had plenty of shmutters washed before Yom Tov but due to it raining into the Succah they have all been used up. May they be washed on Chol Hamoad as they are needed for cleaning over Chol Hamoad or is it better to buy new ones. Also it is quite likely since they are wet they will go mouldy.

If these things are used all the time and they are currently dirty and you will need them again, they may be washed, especially if they will get moldy and then unfit for use after Sukkot. (See פסקי תשובות סי' תקל"ד )
