Question
Hi there,
We have a dog, and she’s tiny so the family let’s her sit everywhere. Am I allowed to make a bracha if I sit on the chair or sofa she sat? (my parents do clean her very well) also along the same tone, may I make a bracha while seated on the grass in the park, if dogs do sit there on a few days of the week? (people regularly bring their dogs around our park)
Thank you so much,
Answer
Shalom,
Thank you for your question. There is nothing at all wrong with praying or saying blessings when sitting in a place where an animal sat. As long as there are no droppings, or bad smells, there is no issue at all – not with dogs nor any other animals.
Blessings.
