Question
should one take water before sunset sundown or shkia or after. from spring ( when water falls from depth of earth in the forest)? what does halacha say?
thank you.
Answer
ב"ה
Shalom
The Shulchan Aruch (Yoreh De'aah 116:5 and Choshen Mishpat 427 speak about things which are forbidden because of a danger. Sometimes the reference is to a realistic danger such as mistakenly swallowing a leech when drinking from a river at night, while others are related to the spiritual realm.
There is also an ancient custom of not drinking water in the time of the "Tekufa" which are the seasonal changes. Of the spring summer fall and winter, which is also codified in the above quoted Shulchan Aruch. There are those who are lenient in regard to water during the seasonal changes, because the custom only applies if the water did not come in contact with metal . however, in our time when all water passes through some metal pipe, there is room to be lenient.
If the question would be more specific, it would allow me to be more focused in my answer.
