Question
Today is Yom Haatzmaut and the 20th day of the Omer. Can one see a play (without music) today being that it is a Yom tov but still not lag Bโomer?
Answer
1. A play without music is not clearly forbidden any time during sefira. Though many people do not go to any public entertainment during sefira, the original custom included joyous events with music.
2. Many people consider Yom HaAtzmaut a break in sefirah, have music, haircuts etc. One's relationship to Yom HaAtzmaut and the community one lives in is relevant.
