Question
When a person receives a blood transfusion that means he as a Jew mixes his blood with other Muslim or Christian blood.
Is one still a pure Jew, or is one a ’mixture’. Does it really matter in Judaism?
Answer
A person is Jewish if his/her mother is Jewish or if he/she has converted to Judaism according to halacha. Blood or blood transfusions have nothing to do with it.
