Question
Can one clean a tiled floor on Shabbat ,and if so how may one do so? Can one use a cloth/mop/stick with a rubber base to do so? Can one use a baby wipe to clean up a spot that has become dirty?
Answer
The Shulchan Aruch permits sweeping tiled floors but not wasing them, even without a cloth. However, it is permitted to mop up spills. Using a baby wipe would be ok only if the amount of liquid is insufficient to cause squeezing out liquid from the wipe.
