Question
Why do the two Challahs on Shabbat need to be uncut before the blessing is said?
Answer
The Talmud learns from the double Friday Manna portion the need for two loafs of bread on Shabbat. The reason they should be whole before the Bracha is in honour of the Bracha and in honour of shabbat. [Divrei Yatziv OC 126]
