Question
what names do we we know of the 72 Talmidey Chachamim who translated the Torah ?
Answer
ב"ה Shalom We actually do NOT know the names. The Talmud (Megilla 9a) tells us that Ptolemy ordered 72 scholars to translate the Torah into Greek. Rabbi Avraham Zacut z"l (1452-1514) in Sefer Yuchasin (Mamar 1, English Edition, "The Book of Lineage" pg. 49) wrote that Elazar Hayashish (Yashish means the elder), who according to Rav Zacut lived just before the Hasmonean Matityahu, was of the 72 scholars who translated the Torah. However, there is no corroboration to this claim in other sources. According to Rabbi Samuel Strashun, (known as the Rashash (1794-1872),in his commentary to the Talmud Sanhedrin 16b, the members of the Sanhedrin were those who wrote the translation. All the best
